This is my view from the new location. As mentioned here, we moved the desk into the den.
Ahhh, so much nicer!

Tim went out to play in the snow, before the winds arrive and make it unbearable.
Read on for Tim’s explanation of the picture with the toy shark:

In the past week or so I’ve added Andy (14) as a user to one of my credit card accounts, and (finally) set up a bank account for him with an ATM card.
The reasoning behind this is that he’s going to need money when he goes to London and from what I understand it’s a much better idea to have some cash and a credit/ATM card than lots of cash or travelers checks.
And I thought the ATM card would have a Visa logo like mine does, but it doesn’t. So, that’s why I got him the credit card. I guess I should take him out on a practice run with it so he can learn how to sign receipts

The RNC is scared of MoveOn.org.
MoveOn.org response to RNC accusations
and
What they’re responding to.
Good. They should be scared. I really think that most people vastly underestimate the possiblities the internet presents in the hands of the right people. Howard Dean would be just another candidate if it wasn’t for the power and influence of MoveOn and Meet Up.
For that matter, Matt Drudge would be a nobody. See, it works for both sides.
Getting to the issue in the above links- it’s a non-story. The RNC made it one. Anyone who took a moment to review the facts would realize that MoveOn was not behind the ads, did not pay for the ads. They’re gone now, because MoveOn readers thought they deserved an early death in the Bush In 30 Seconds contest. Good. End of story. Or at least it should be.
Before he was known as Tim McGraw’s long lost dad, Tug McGraw was my first favorite baseball player. He was also a favorite of my grandfather, and watching Mets games with him in the early 70s was what made me the fan I am today.
I feel like another little part of my childhood died. Thanks for everything, Tug.
Ya Gotta Believe!
“Tug McGraw was one of the great characters of the game of baseball,” said Hall of Famer Tom Seaver, McGraw’s teammate with the Mets’ 1969 championship team.
“He just had a joy for life and living. But what people sometimes overlook because he was always happy-go-lucky was what kind of competitor he was on the mound. No one competed with more intensity than he did.”
Which means by 2am it will probably be in Bound Brook which means by 5pm tomorrow it should be on my front porch
!
I just love when the UPS guy comes bearing large boxes. I can usually even get him to put them inside the front door.
That is, after I’ve plopped insane dog into my room. She’s weird about UPS. She sees a brown truck just drive by and she goes nuts. If one actually stops here she bounces off the walls. I usually let the guy just leave the package on the porch and wait till he drives away before I retrieve it. The funny thing is, she’s not like that with other deliveries. FedEx, she barks a bit but not that gutteral growling bark she reserves for the guys in brown shorts (maybe it’s knees she has issues with…) and when the mail carrier comes she calmly watches him park, gather the mail, and start strolling up to the porch before she goes crazy. Then as soon as he puts the mail in the box, she settles back down.
But, as I said, when a UPS man bearing large boxes arrives, she’s banished to my bedroom so I can invite him and his knees to place the large boxes inside
