Sorry… ignore below rant

Wednesday, March 31st, 2004

OK, I wasn’t in a very good mood earlier when I wrote the post below, and it comes across a lot bitchier than intended. I hope no one took it the wrong way. I really do appreciate the people that stop by to read, whoever they may be!

I know you people are out there reading me. I see hits on the hit counter, some of you actually spend more than a full minute so you must be reading stuff, right?

So why not say hi so I know who you people are, ‘k?

(except for the stalkers, you of course can remain hidden. I’d expect nothing less.)

I have a feeling I’m going to regret this, the ones reading who haven’t posted a comment before are probably ALL stalkers !

The end of an era

Today was the last day of the bowling season for my team. It’s been a fun three-year ride for me, but we’ve decided to disband. It’s a daytime league, and at least two of our members will be working when the new season starts in September. I’m ready for the break. It started to be an obligation instead of something I really enjoyed.

We might find an evening league, but I think I’ll take a year away from bowling. I expect next year to be full with kid activities, and in all honesty I think I like bowling for fun better than in competition.

And besides, we finished in last place .

Tuesday Twosome Your Blog!

Driving:

1. Rain or Snow?
If it’s light, rain because snow freezes. If it’s heavy, snow, because even most SUV and truck drivers slow down at least a little in the snow, but never in the rain.

2. Music from the radio or compact disc?
Radio, definitely. But I don’t get any decent FM reception in my house!

3. Yellow light: “slow down” or “go faster” ?
Slow down.

4. Freeway or feeder road?
Feeder. I get off the highway as soon as I reasonably can.

5. Road Rage: “what’s that?” or “Heck yeah, and you better not get in my way!”
I do yell at people who do stupid things. Not so they can hear me, of course. And I don’t let it affect my driving. Usually.

I heart TV themed memes!

1. Do you consider yourself a “fan” of reality TV?
I like the fly on the wall type shows like Big Brother and Real World. The full-on competition shows, not so much.

2. What’s your “can’t miss” reality TV show (or shows)?
The two I mentioned above, although I usually forget they’re on till the season’s half over.

3. What reality TV show do you suppose the devil plays on the TV in Hell as punishment? Is Fear Factor a reality show or a game show? Either one, the devil would just play the parts where they have to eat bugs and stuff.

~Bonus~ If you were given a free ticket to be on any reality show, which one would you choose? If I was a bit lot younger, I’d say Real World or BB. But I’d love to get on Trading Spaces or What Not to Wear, that would be fun.

… colored my hair (I really like my new cut. I asked her to cut long layers so I could let it curl, and for the first time ever I have the right cut and the right hair products so my hair actually looks good long! Yay!)

… colored my toes. After a loooong polish-free winter it’s time to show my feet again when we head to LA next week!

… ran a few errands. I had to go to both the elementary and middle schools to pick up donations for the teacher appreciation luncheons. Donations are down a bit from last year .

… put my Springsteen folder on random on iTunes so I can’t concentrate because with no one else home I’m just singing along at the top of my lungs. … I’ll meet you further on up the road

… therefore I haven’t paid my bills or done much packing, both things I need to do today.

Tonight is Nick’s Arrow of Light ceremony. His last act as a Cub Scout.

Tomorrow is our last day of bowling, and Moms With Balls will be officially disbanding. Boo.

I need to get the Easter bunny organized so he can somehow show up while we’re gone and get the baskets set up.

Ok now I’m just rambling because I keep stopping to sing along. No wonder I get nothing done around here.
