What Struck Me

What a nice quiet day. Andy & Nick are home from camp and just chillin’, Pat’s just chillin’ (probably because he has a nasty head cold, poor thing) and Tim is less hyper than usual. It’s a gorgeous day outside, and we’re just hanging out.

Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary, 18 years. Pat took the day off. Orginal plan was to go down the shore but the temp will be around 80- a bit chilly on the beach but just perfect for wandering around the zoo! So that’s where we’re headed, to look at the animals.

Don’t mind me, just checking something out. Here, have a drink :drink:.

After seeing him from a distance quite a few times while in LA earlier this year, Tim finally got up the nerve to meet Spiderman last night, at Mets/Spiderman Night.

We didn’t win any prizes, and the game went to extra innings so we missed the ending (Patriots won it in 14 innings) but we had a fun time, so much better than a major league game !

Overheard during the game:
“I told Spiderman he was my favorite superhero, and he told me ‘That’s because I keeps it real.’”

Woke up this morning to what looked like a cool, dreary day :???: but the clouds are slowly breaking up and the heat is coming on. The weather people say we should have sun and mid-80s temps, so I’ve made some plans.

First to the pool to watch Tim play, maybe visit with… someone, who knows. I’ll bring Cold Mountain, because I’m determined to finish it, but it’s kinda boring. Maybe the second half gets better?

Later Tim has a karate lesson, so I’ll sit in the lobby with my copy of Cold Mountain I guess…

Tonight we’re going to a ballgame! It’s both Mets Night and Spiderman Night at the Somerset Patriots game, so Pat grabbed tickets for the three of us. Tim is loving the extra attention he’s getting with brothers away at camp :grin:.

He won’t do it. But if he did, I’d be there.

Big brothers are away at camp this week. I expect to see more weirdness in the days ahead :grin:!

:nag: This is one of those days I wish I’d never turned on the computer. More stoopid personality conflicts on CG, I’m expected to be a mind-reader I suppose. I never know what’s going on till it all blows up. Not that I even want to know. It amazes me how intense this stuff gets, I’ve seen it happen all the time and even been caught up in it once or twice, so I know how real “virtual” relationships are. Still I’m amazed.
