Happy Seventh Birthday to My Baby

Saturday, February 12th, 2005

It’s hard to believe that our youngest child is a full-out kid. No more baby (although to me he’ll always be…)

Happy birthday, Tim!

Any excuse to head down the shore!

My dear readers, I’ve been crazy busy again. We’re moving the CG boards to a new domain and our hosting company is having DNS issues. All that means that I can’t get into the very website I’m supposed to be working on. Thought all was cool last night. Uh, no.

Did have some fun today, though. My SIL is getting married in September, and when I commented on how lucky she was to have a wedding to plan, she recruited me to help :horror: . Just kidding, I’m glad she asked. Today we were supposed to go see a florist but the florist cancelled, so instead SIL, MIL and I took the road trip anyway to check out the place they’re having the ceremony and reception- MIL hadn’t seen it yet. It’s down the shore at a place on a marina. A little dreary on a winter’s day but going to be gorgeous in September!

After that we went on a fruitless journey to find a different florist using very lame directions from the woman at the reception place, then checked out the hotel where a block of rooms are reserved (sadly since we are probably the guests who live the closest at only an hour away, we won’t be staying there.)

I also sat and watched my excrutiatingly skinny sister-in-law inhale a bagel breakfast sandwich from Dunkin Donuts on the way down, and a Jr. Whopper with cheese on the way home. Bitch  .

Why yes, I am an artist after all…

I can’t get a grip on my life this week :help: ! Seems like everytime I start getting ahead on one thing something else comes along and derails me. Today it was being stuck helping at the Book Fair at my son’s school for 1.5 hours longer than expected because my friend’s daughter was home sick. It’s only an hour and a half, but that was the hour and a half I was going to spend food shopping. I have a bunch of paperwork I need to wrap up before a meeting tonight, and I really need to get Tim to karate today- it’s been falling by the wayside with all the other after school craziness!

It looks like things will ease up starting tomorrow afternoon, but there’s a huge list of things that need to be moved to the front burner, so that’s really an illusion.

See when I see ya!
