The fact that the amazon order with all my cool new stuff arrived today doesn’t negate the fact that the weather today was horrid and I really do need to get an all wheel drive vehicle in case I need to rescue my son from the far and distant HS if they decide not to run buses. I was supposed to help in Tim’s class today but the roads were so bad that I pretty much just grabbed him and ran (I did put in about 15 minutes because his teacher just seemed so happy to see me- but I had to get out of there when someone came in and said roads were closing.) Called the MS so they’d have Nick ready and waiting for me to grab and bring home, too. Andy’s bus arrived about 20 minutes late, and they did in fact decide not to run the ES and MS bus routes, so I was very glad I got the kids early!
The wind out there right now is downright frightful :horror: ! The snow stopped hours ago but the wind has been whipping it up. I’m glad the PTO meeting and Nick’s CCD class were cancelled.
Instead I’m happily organizing my photos with Photoshop Elements (until a giant branch comes down and knocks out the power.)
Hmm, sorry, seems I’m having a glass-half-empty kinda day.
Guess I’ll stop whining about how cold it is here. At least there’s none of that nasty white stuff.
Promise me it will be gone by April 9?
Oops, April 8!
Ugh, sounds bad out there! And we’re supposed to have a 65 degree day today!
I’m sick of winter already, too. Have you tried your new knives, yet? I still haven’t ever bought a really nice set of knives for the kitchen, even though we’ve needed some for about 18 years! They are so expensive! What is so expensive in the making of knives?! I saw some really nice measuring cups in stainless steel at Williams Sonoma. I should have bought them but I didn’t. I am missing the 3/4 cup. What happens to these things?!
My email out is acting funky- so replying here to MJ - yes, the knives are tres cool. And even the cheap rubber measuring cups are cool. And they came with an egg separator! I never had one of those before.
