So, hey, Joe Piscopo called! He wants me to vote for Tom Kean Jr! And Rudy Giuliani called! He wants me to vote for Tom Kean Jr., too! So do these guys!
Why are these people all contacting me to ask me to vote for Tom Kean Jr.? I’m pretty sure we’re on the phone/mail list because our last name ends in a vowel. Because apparently incumbent Sen. Menendez dissed the Italian-Americans by not backing Sam Alito for Supreme Court. And, to quote the post card “New Jerseyans are supposed to take care of their own.” In other words, because Menendez didn’t support an Italian-American, Italian-Americans need to kick him out of office. Never mind any actual issues, nope, we Italian-Americans need to take care of each other.
Keep in mind, folks, that these are the same people who think the fictional, over the top, pure entertainment show The Sopranos is harming the image of Italian-American NJians.
