Did you know that baby carrots aren’t baby carrots at all?

Baby carrots aren’t babies at all. They’re grown-up carrots cut into 2-inch sections, pumped through water-filled pipes into whirling cement-mixer-size peelers and whittled down to the niblets Americans know, love and scarf down by the bagful.

We eat a lot of these little things and I admit the reason I like them is because they’re so… clean. No peeling! Never thought about why, though!

It’s my birthday in… uh… 5 days. Our old camera broke- it works but the battery is being held in by duct tape.

I really really want a new camera. This one would be nice. Except in blue, please.

I’ve recently set up Google as my homepage (www.google.com/ig). There are all kinds of widgets you can add to it, and I have to say my favorite is the “flickr recently added” one. I have it set to change theh photo every 5 seconds, and it’s pretty cool seeing the random photos pop up, I just saw a wedding, a baby, some guy in his kitchen, another guy hugging a giant pillow, and a gorgeous shot of a boat in the sunset. I love the variety of it.
